Welcome to the Senior School of Multinational School Bahrain. At our Senior School we believe that school should be innovative, engaging and enjoyable for all learners. Our Senior School learning programme is founded on the ethos of investigative learning and students as teachers. The school ethos is child centred and places importance upon the learner having a greater responsibility for their own learning. It embraces active learning and problem-solving principles. Students acting as teachers provides students with opportunities to consolidate and build upon learned knowledge by working with and helping their peers or junior classmates. Senior School students are at important time in their lives and the development of clear routines for all students is fundamental to their development. In addition, Senior School quality teaching and learning, assessment and feedback and pastoral care make for an outstanding learner centred and holistic education for all students.
Our curriculum is founded on the Cambridge Curriculum with the goal of moving students to successful completion of the Cambridge/Edexcel AS/A level in Years 12 and 13. Through this, we are able to provide academic rigour and a highly aspirational and challenging curriculum offer for all students. The programmes incorporate a balance between English, Arabic and Islamic Studies, whilst supporting students who have different cultural backgrounds. We explore learning through many areas such as music, science, physical education, health, citizenship, art and design and ICT as we believe children learn and understand their world in different ways. We provide specialist learning programmes for children whose first language may not be English and also programmes to extend and support individual learning needs. In keeping with our commitment to provide students with outstanding careers guidance and tailored support when choosing their next step after school, we are expanding our Career Guidance Department with Unifrog subscription for our careers platform. All Senior school students are provided with login details to access the website. Unifrog is a one-stop-shop where students can easily explore their interests, then find and successfully apply for their next best step after school. Unifrog will help our Senior School students to explore their key interests and career paths that can take to reach their goals!
We encourage our parents to take an active role in their children’s learning by attending a range of celebrations and participating in classroom learning experiences throughout the school year. In addition to this we have parent information evenings, parent, student, and teacher led conferences and formal written reports to provide feedback to families on their child’s learning and development. We believe that the partnership between the home, school and the student to ensure students achieve their full learning potential and are equipped with the knowledge and skills to become lifelong learners.
